Hey there. The 2gb upgrade was done in less than 5 minutes while
sitting in a coffee shop! Memory and Hard drive each have one screw
acess from the bottom of the machine.

The performance boost was slight. It didn't help much with flash based
games / graphics. It was helpful with running multiple applicaions and
speeds to load programs. There may be a way to allocate more of the
ram for video memory. If I find that - I may get the boost I'm hoping
for.

Overall the added memory is worth it in the long run.

That's a great review Darren. My laptop is a Toshiba and is about two years old. I know that's rather old as far as IT goes, but it does alright for the time being.

As for the brightness of the LED display, did you try to adjust it? I think you should be able to make it brighter or dimmer, per your own personal taste. Look around for that.
