Church Announcements

Please read all church announcements carefully… especially the last one:
  • Please remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and community.

  • The topic for our sermon next week will be “What is Hell?”. Come early and listen to our choir practice.

  • There will be a special collection today to pay for eight new choir robes. These are needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.

  • The Associate Minister unveiled the church’s new tithing campaign slogan last Sunday: “I Upped My Pledge – Up Yours.” Be sure to tell someone today!

  • Don’t let unhealthy living kill you – let the church help.

    Weight Watchers will meet at tonight at 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church. Please use the large double door at the side entrance.

  • Low Self-Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 to 8:30 p.m. please use the back door.

  • If any of the congregation have children and don’t know it, there is a nursery downstairs.

  • Bro. Irving Benson and Sis. Betty Carter were married on Oct. 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in school days.

  • Due to Deacon Johnson’s illness, Wednesday’s healing services will be discontinued until further notice.

  • The eighth graders will be presenting Shakespeare’s Hamlet in the church basement on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

  • Saints and Friends, we would like to announce the 26th birthday of Min. Darren Calhoun on December 3rd, 2005.  All gifts, cards, and monetary love offerings will be accepted please write or call for more information. These are the announcements for the week; please govern yourselves accordingly.
